KUALA LUMPUR – Charge+, one of Southeast Asia’s largest electric vehicle (EV) charging firms, launched Kuala Lumpur’s fastest charging station at KL Eco City. This launch with done jointly with the Joint Management Body (JMB) of KL Eco City, S P Setia Berhad, the master developer of KL Eco City, and XPENG Motors (XPENG), a leading China-based high-tech company.


The groundbreaking facility features five ultra-fast charging bays at KL Eco City, a prominent mixed-use development comprising retail, serviced apartments, residential and office buildings spanning 25 acres in Kuala Lumpur. This hypercharging hub can deliver up to 350kW DC charging speed, which makes it the fastest EV charging station within Kuala Lumpur, thereby offering convenient and rapid charging for EV drivers.

Strategically located within KL Eco City Mall, the hypercharging hub offers easy access via major highways including the Federal Highway, New Pantai Expressway (NPE) and Jalan Bangsar. With connectivity to KL Eco City’s integrated retail, commercial and residential ecosystem, EV drivers can enjoy seamless charging while they work, shop or relax.


This initiative is part of the broader Charge+ –XPENG Supercharging Network, which will host at least 20 ultra-fast sites across Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and Indonesia, as announced in September 2025. It is also a vital node in Charge+’s 5,000 km EV charging highway, the longest in Southeast Asia, connecting Singapore to Hanoi, Vietnam.

This initiative further strengthens KL Eco City’s position as a smart, transit-oriented and sustainability-driven destination, aligned with S P Setia’s ESG pillars and green mobility commitments. Through this collaboration, Charge+, S P Setia and XPENG are supporting Malaysia’s ongoing drive to spur more EV adoption and also enabling a greener and smarter lifestyle for Malaysians.
