SINGAPORE - Charge+, a leading electric vehicle (EV) charging company serving Singapore and Southeast Asia, has launched the largest EV charging cluster in Tampines of Singapore, located in the Tampines Retail Park area.

Designed to cater to both high-turnover fast charging and longer-duration top-ups, the Tampines Retail Park charging cluster features a total of 38 charging points across four key buildings in close proximity:

  • Giant Hypermarket: 8 charging points (6 DC + 2 AC)

  • IKEA Tampines: 20 charging points (2 DC + 18 AC)

  • COURTS Tampines: 8 charging points (2 DC + 6 AC)

  • T-Space: 2 charging points (2 DC)

The official launch ceremony took place at Giant Hypermarket in Tampines Retail Park, where Minister of State, Ministry of Transport and Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth, and Mayor of the North East District, Mr Baey Yam Keng, officiated the opening of Charge+'s fast charging hub with six DC charging points. This fast charging hub supports the Land Transport Authority (LTA)'s vision of establishing a network of fast charging hubs across Singapore, including at least one in every HDB town, to meet the growing demand for EV charging, complementing the islandwide rollout of overnight and destination charging.

By placing 38 charging points in the key component buildings of the bustling Tampines Retail Park area, Charge+ enables drivers to integrate vehicle charging effortlessly into their weekly routines. While their vehicles top up, visitors can take full advantage of the extensive amenities right at their doorstep — whether that means doing grocery shopping at Giant Hypermarket, shopping for home furnishings at IKEA, shopping for home electronics and furniture at COURTS Megastore, or enjoying a meal at local food courts and restaurants.

Located strategically along the TPE expressway which runs to Changi Airport and connects to the nearby PIE expressway, this charging cluster will conveniently serve many HDB towns in the East and Northeast such as Tampines, Pasir Ris, Punggol and Sengkang. To maximize value, the cluster features free parking at the charging stations, thereby removing the burden of carpark fees during a charge. Coupled with Charge+’s commitment to offering some of the lowest charging tariffs among operators in Singapore, the Tampines Retail Park charging cluster delivers a fast, seamless, and cost-effective charging experience that sets a new benchmark for EV charging infrastructure in the East and Northeast of Singapore.

Driver value is further amplified as Charge+, along with Giant, 7-Eleven, Guardian co-located in Tampines Retail Park, are all part of the same yuu Rewards Club ecosystem that allows consumers to effortlessly stack rewards on everyday groceries, wellness, and convenience runs all within the immediate vicinity of these charging stations. In addition, Charge+ now offers the biggest loyalty rebates for EV charging in Singapore, with up to 18% cash rebates through the DBS yuu Visa Card.

This strategic expansion by Charge+ aligns with the Singapore government’s efforts to accelerate clean energy vehicle adoption and supports the broader Singapore Green Plan 2030 targets. As Singapore builds toward its vision of 100% cleaner-energy vehicles by 2040, strategically located charging hubs are essential to giving EV drivers greater charging confidence.

Mr. Goh Chee Kiong, CEO of Charge+, said, "The launch of our largest EV charging cluster in Tampines reflects Charge+'s commitment to making EV charging more convenient and accessible for everyday drivers. By combining fast and destination charging in a key retail hub, we are enabling drivers to charge seamlessly while they shop, dine, and run errands. As EV adoption continues to grow, we remain committed to expanding a reliable and affordable charging network that supports Singapore's transition to cleaner mobility."
