Announcement on Charge+ Tender Win for EV Charging Points in Public Carparks in Singapore.

Updated: Jul 19, 2023

Singapore, 3 September 2021 - Charge+ is pleased to announce that we have been awarded the tender by the Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA) and the Land Transport Authority (LTA) for electric vehicle (EV) charging points in public carparks. This tender win involves setting up charging points in public carparks in the North and North-East regions which constitute two of the five regions in Singapore. Charge+ is co-leading the consortium with Primech A&P, and is also partnering Sunseap and Oyika.

The awarded tender to the Charge+ consortium will see the deployment of more than 150 EV charging points at 50 carparks belonging to the Housing & Development Board (HDB), JTC Corporation (JTC), National Parks Board (NParks), People’s Association (PA) and URA, over the next 12 months.

The Charge+ consortium was chosen based on factors of quality charging services, financially sustainable business models, and competitive charging prices. The agencies had adopted a price-quality method to assess and select proposals that would provide the best value for both consumers and the authorities. Besides having competitive charging rates and a sustainable business model, the Charge+ consortium has committed to delivering a complete suite of services, which includes the installation, operation and maintenance of EV charging infrastructure, as well as trialling innovative solutions to optimise available electrical load and address usage issues such as lot hogging.

The new charging points from this government tender will build on the existing charging infrastructure that Charge+ is already rolling out across the residential, commercial & industrial, and fleet segments. With this extension to HDB, JTC, NParks, PA and URA carparks, EV drivers can expect more convenience and benefits from Charge+.
